Hello Miss Lori~I feel what draws us to these beautiful vintage pieces is...we appreciate the history that comes with it. I've always wished for access to flea markets that have such treasures as the laces and trims you have in your amazing collection.
They make the most perfect embellishments for any project.
Speaking of...I adored your paper mache lid tutorial! I took your idea and added dried lavender with the batting which made a lovely scented sachet I've tucked in with the bath towels. I also scented the batting with a few drops of floral essential oils, rose and gardenia. They too are tucked in between my linens.
Now I'm looking at recycling lids from some of the products we use to create these.
I've invited my sweet neighbor to come over for an afternoon to make some paper lid sachets. Thanks to you we'll be having a sweet smelling afternoon of creativity.
Sweet wishes,
Sara
such pretties you have filled your castle with! Life is good isnt it!?
happy weekend (well almost)!!!

What pretty little bits of this and that. It's all so lovely.
I really like the clothes pins inside the beaded bag, that's so charming.
It's true, the little things are what makes us happy!

Yes I agree it's all in the details! Beautiful shots Lori an I see you had a swap with Tina too :)
Wishing you a happy Spring weekend!

Lori,
I think it says you are an artist, a lover of anything touched & loved by another hands long ago. It means you can't stand to see those beautiful things sit in a closet & rot. You'd rather put them out on a shelf where they can inspire you everyday. And it says you know what your friends like too! Happy TGIF & all that good stuff. Lisa
Its those little things that make a house a home!
Happy Mothers day Lori!
Hugz,
Dolly
Your trifles are simply yummy!
Be still my heart!!!! Love all the close-ups you've shown us, Lori....so much beauty is in the details!!!! Oooooh, that puff...yikes!!!!! and the top of that hat....drooling here! Yep, I think I'd have to yank that beauty off and put it on a puff. What a divine creation that would be! So glad you decided to dust the castle so we could get a little peek! ;-) hehe
Love ya bunches,
Sandra
