the ocular wonkies

this is so strange ... i haven't had an ocular migraine in about a year i think, and
all of a sudden ... i have been besieged with one after the other ... thankfully, i do
not get a migraine headache ... but the visual changes make it nearly impossible
for me to read ... and so ... once again i am very far behind in my blog reads ... i
hope you will forgive me ... but, right now ... during my moments of visual clarity
i have work to do on puffs for three sweet ladies ...

i hope to have these all finished tomorrow ... then i will be all over my google
reader to see what i have missed ... believe me, i do miss my visits with you!

thank you for stopping over!

Hi Lori,
So sorry to hear about you migraines...never heard of getting the visual changes without the headache...that must be really strange. I just got new contacts not too long ago, and it tooks months to get one of them right. I tell ya, when your vision is off, it is just maddening!!! Hope everything improves soon. Well, it looks like you're still turning out some gorgeous puffs in spite of the problems! Your pics are just a vision(no pun intended) of beauty!!!
Love ya,
Sandra

Anything to do with a migraine is absolutely forgivable...
Enjoy the time without them and perhaps they shall leave altogether... making life once more enjoyable.

I sure hope those pesky migraines let up. I don't get the headache either, but time seems to stop while my vision goes haywire. My sister gets them, too, along with the headaches.

I think I see my puff!

I've only ever had 2 ocular headaches. About one year apart. The first time I was driving and didn't know what was happening so I pulled over and called 911. My vision was getting so bad I thought I was going to pass out! I was relieved to find out there was nothing seriously wrong with me! Glad you are back to blogging :)

hi lori,

so sorry to hear you've got the OWs but of course you are able to make them sound cute by giving them a quirky name. i had something really strange and quite wonkular happen to me once during a headache where i actually saw a prism out of the corner of my eye. is it like that?

your puffs are lovely. hope you are resting as much as possible.

I get silent migraines sometimes, too, Lori- I'm glad not to have the headache with them, but they are most definitely distracting!! Your puffs are so lovely!

Im so so sorry Lori to hear for your migraines. Bless your heart! I've only had two my entire life and they are so crippling. I wonder what's causing you to have them over and over now. I hope you are speaking with your doctor. We miss you and look forward to seeing your happy self visiting us and posting again! :) XOXO,Jenn

I get those oculars too...aren't they so weird. They come out of nowhere & without a schedule. Mine last about 25 minutes. Sometimes I can work through them (as long as I don't need to see well). Other times I just take a break.
I love your beautiful puffs. Maybe someday...
Smiles, Debbie

I'm so sorry you have those 'ocular wonkies'...I have a dear friend who gets migraines like that...fortunately they don't last long and ibuprofen works for her, but they are weird. I get regular migraines...think I would rather have oculars!

Take care and I would love to know how you make those puffs...lovely.

Hi Lori~
Finally I am back, although I must confess I did take a quick peak at your blog while I was spending time with the family. The kids caught me so I to rush off...

Hope that nasty migraine is gone by now and doesn't come back any time soon. I REALLY need one of your puffs, I am going to have to go over to your shop, they have been calling my name, and I scrimped all last week so I could buy one without feeling guilty...

Got to go catch up with everyone, hope you are feeling better and had a great Easter~

Oh Lori, I'm sorry to hear your vision is giving you trouble. I have never heard of an "ocular migraine" before. (You learn something new every day.) We've been experiencing medical issues and oddities here too. There seems to be something weird going on in the universe lately - Whatever it is, I wish it would stop!
Take care and be well,

ewwwwww....."she" used to get those and wants you to know "she" feels badly for you. They are awful....when "her" peripheral vision started to go,
"she" would have about 20 minutes to get somewhere "safe" because "she" would not be able to see at all. I am so sorry to hear that you've had one of these.....

Oh no, those are just awful. I've only had one like that, but get the symptoms of them with the regular migraines. And I know what you mean, they seem to come in groups. I hope you are at the end of your string of headaches!

Lori,
You poor sweetie, that sounds horrible. I hope you feel like your old self soon. I so love your puffs. I had the chance to hold one in my hand last week. Jodie showed me the one that you made for her. Lori, your work is so beautiful. My baby girl flipped when she saw her bunny. I've put it up on her bookcase where the hands of brothers can't reach! Lori, if you are not feeling well, please skip either reading my blog and/or giving comments. Just don't feel obliged to let me know that you were there.
I feel sorry for you and I think you should rest but of course you cannot miss your contacts in blogland, so just do whatever you can do and nothing more. Please.
Ah those fluffling posies...just too gorgeous! Hope that you will be on the mend soon. I have paused a few days as the wheather was gorgeous over here, so I wanted to enjoy it! Now I'll stop, I suddenly think that reading comments might not be good for you either. Thinking of you, take care!

Oh Lori,
During the month of March I had every test known to woman to see why my eyes were bothering me. I couldn't spend much time on the computer and my eyes were so tired all the time.

I had dry eyes, and the doctor prescribed natural tears over the counter called Systane. They have really helped.

I hope you feel better soon. I went into my favorite shop today and they had the dreamiest peach ribbon with flowers and you came to mind. I thought Lori would love this for one of her dreamy projects.

Webster's pages is an amazing place with very feminine designs. Here is the ribbon that made me think of you.

Hope your eyes are on the mend.

Lori~ so sorry you're having struggles with the migraines.
I'm prone to the (squiggly) eye fishers that sometimes comes before a headache. I can't see clearly either when they hit.

Are all your puffs spoken for or will they be available in your shop?

I hope you're feelin' better soon.

sweet wishes,
Sara

Good Morning Lori!
Just in case you can't see the calendar today...it's Friday and I'm really missin' me some Lori! :)

I hope your head/eyes are feeling better as I'm so worried about you, my little friend!

I know I'm greedy and all, (I admit it in public) I just hope you can get back to normal and post some of beauty that we all love so much!!!!! I really need a "Lori Fix"
;)

Have a wonderful weekend girl!

Oh no Lori. I am so sorry you are experiencing this. I have never had a migraine . . . but this Ocular doesn't sound very fun either! I hate it when things upset my vision. I even hate it when I go inside a store with a/c on and it dries up my contacts like INSTANTLY and I walk around blinking and blinking probably looking like a goon. :) It drives me insane!
Love your poofs, but you just take your time getting better.
Hugs and prayers.
