more book pages

I just remembered I wanted to show you the other pages I did in the book for Heather.
If you remember from this post, the subject is friends or friendship. My second page is
about how your friends can connect to the essence that is the true you. Now, this really
resonates with me because I am very shy and sometimes when people first meet me that
has been misinterpreted as being snotty, etc. If you are shy then you know what I mean.

I knew right away that I wanted to use sheet music, and incorporate the shape of a heart.
And of course I had to throw a little bit of pink in there.

Here is the spread of my first two pages.

The last page I kept very simple because: a} the ledger paper is gorgeous all on it's own
and b} this page is for a little message I wrote to Heather.

I made a simple little folded envelope of ledger paper that secures with old buttons and
string to write the message in. I love this idea, and you will be seeing me use it again on
something in the future for sure.

Thanks for coming over to have a peek! Have a wonderful weekend!

The pages you created for this friendship book are incredibly gorgeous, Lori. You are so right, that ledger paper is a work of art in itself - love the envelope for special notes that you made. So terribly sweet, all of it!

It's pretty! And I think it's sweet too to do this for a friend. I like the locket heart and yes the envelop with a message is a nice added touch. When your friends receives this, she'll have a surprise note in that envelope.

Totally beautiful Lori! Love the pink fringey.
Aww, I know what you mean about being shy being misinterpreted. I have friends tell me all the time they thought I was quite the B**** when they first met me and how I am so not, now that they know me. I fight that scared panicky shy feeling when I first meet someone and it comes off sooooo badly. Gosh, you should see me at parties I am a hot mess.lol...

Oh so beautiful, as is all your work. I really love the look of the ledger paper. Oh, I just I love it all! Thank you for showing us more.
I was thought of as a snob when I was younger too. I was painfully shy at one time, but as I aged I really came out of my shell. You will too.

Thank goodness that pretty little book is not in my reach! ;)

Look at all these beautiful pages you added to Heather's friend book. They are all so gorgeous! I think of myself as being shy too (although my friends would tell you differently) so yes, I know exactly what you mean about quiet and shy being mistaken for being snotty. Heather's going to be blown away by your creative pages.

Such gorgeous pages, Lori! The scalloped envelope with its message tucked inside is a sweet idea. So is the message on the ruffled heart. These pages would be perfect for your own art journal -- it doesn't take a page filled with words to convey your own quiet thoughts among beautiful things you love to connect.
